MIDWEST CLINIC

Congratulations Chamber Orchestra on being selected to perform at The Midwest Clinic: An International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago December 2009!

The Midwest Clinic is an annual clinic where app. 15,000 musicians, conductors, composers and clinicians come from all 50 states and over 30 countries to attend and learn from 44 concerts, 90 clinics and 350 exhibitors.

The performances are given by organizations from around the world including: professional groups, military, college, high school, middle school and grade school groups. The 2009 Midwest Clinic performances include 10 orchestras, 16 bands, 9 jazz ensembles and 9 small ensembles.

The audition process is very rigorous and it is a huge honor that Chamber Orchestra will represent Lafayette High School. Lafayette Chamber Orchestra will also be the only performance from the state of Kentucky. Congratulations on this achievement!

We want to give a special thanks to our seniors who helped us achieve this great honor and reach our goals: Tom Coovert, viola; Jonathan Fitzpatrick, viola; Marissa Goodman, violin; Michael Hustedde, violin; Rea Rostosky, viola.

OUR EASIEST FUNDRAISER

You don't have to sell candy bars, popcorn, or raffle tickets. If you shop at Kroger, you don't have to do anything different except pay for your purchases with an Orchestra Gift Card. The orchestra will get a percentage of what you spent! And you can still use your Kroger plus card.

The orchestra will get 4% of your purchases. If 50 orchestra families spent $100 each at Kroger in a month, the Orchestra would get $200 (50 x $100 = $5000 x .04 = $200). If all 120+ families bought all their groceries with an Orchestra Gift Card, the orchestra would obviously get a substantial amount of money. This is an excellent way to raise money for the orchestra, and it is painless and nearly effortless.

  • Kroger Bucks / Gift Cards are good at over 1200 Kroger stores nationwide.
  • Kroger Bucks / Gift Cards can be used to purchase any item at Kroger (including Floral, Videos, and Pharmacy)
  • Kroger Bucks / Gift Cards are worth their face value. Give us $5.00 and we give you $5.00 in spendable Kroger Bucks
  • Lafayette Orchestra will receive 4% of the sold amount.
  • Re-charge your Gift Card at the register or service counter BEFORE PAYING to continue supporting Lafayette Orchestra! To get your Kroger Gift Card, contact Connie Coovert, ph - 224-3505
