Treasurer’s Report:  The 2003-2004 proposed budget was distributed.  After being reviewed by those present, a motion was made by Tom Reber to pass the budget.  Kevin Sornson seconded.  All were in favor.  Budget was passed.

Marianne Reber explained the student’s personal accounts system.  Student accounts are posted in the orchestra room.

Marty Turner requested that when money or checks are sent in for dress purchases, candy, etc., it should be clearly marked as to what it is for.

Kroger Bucks:  Every orchestra family that paid their membership fee this evening was given a $5.00 Kroger Card.  Phyllis Davis explained the Kroger Bucks program.  By purchasing a card from us and using it every time you buy groceries or prescriptions at Kroger, you contribute 5% of the total sale to the orchestra!  If you would like to order a card call Phyllis at 223-7102.

Candy Sale:  Next week’s fund-raiser was explained.

Membership Fee:  Each orchestra family is asked to pay an annual fee of $25.00.  This money is used for instrument repair, equipment purchase and administrative costs.  This is a required fee by our membership association and will help show your support of your student’s musical interests!  This fee is especially important in light of the current reduced funding from Fayette County Schools.

A student directory is being put together and will be available soon for a nominal fee!
